The weather in Florida is a fickle thing. Despite the rain, February 18th, 2017, was a gorgeous day for Lucia and Tim’s magical wedding at the Four Seasons Resort and Spa Orlando. The family’s wedding was scheduled to be held outside in the private lawn; however, Mother Nature presented us with an unexpected visitor: rain. But if you think that stop this gorgeous duo from celebrating their wedding in a classic elegant style, you’d be wrong. We were able to move the ceremony to the Grand Ballroom Terrace. It provided shelter from the rain and the view was stunning.
“Shine bright like a diamond,” was the song of the night. Lucia did just that as she walked down the aisle escorted by her son. Tim could not take his eyes off of her, the joy was clearly shown on his face as he got his first glimpse of his bride. It was important to Lucia and Tim that they not see each other until the ceremony. The ceremony was heartfelt and family-oriented, a true family affair. Both Lucia and Tim have children from previous marriages and it was important to them that the kids were involved in the ceremony. They decided to have a unity ceremony. Five containers sat on a table next to the officiant was table. Four of the containers held different colored glass shards, the colors representing each child. The fifth was an empty container into which the children poured their glass shards. As each container was emptied into the larger container the glass mixed together. The end product would later be shipped and melted into a bowl that Lucia and Tim can keep forever. The bowl will be a perfect depiction of the blending of families. All the amazing details pale in comparison to the love these two have for each other and their kids.
Once the ceremony ended, it was off to dinner. That’s correct, dinner; the cocktail hour was actually held before the ceremony. Lucia and Tim did something very unique with their reception, actually booking two separate rooms. One room was the site of an elegant dinner affair. The tables were all connected with seats only one side. This seating arrangement allowed guests to see each other and talk easily. After dinner, the guests moved to the second room where a dancefloor and DJ awaited. The party was now in full swing after dinner. Dessert was self serve, with a twist. Gelato was stored in a cart for the guests to grab throughout the evening. Tim loved the cart, he even rode it around the dance floor serving his guests.
The whole evening was truly endearing. The way that Lucia and Tim looked at each other was something out of a movie. It was as if they were the only people in the whole room. Then whenever their children were around, Lucia or Tim would pull them into a dance. Looking at this family was like seeing a modern day Brady Bunch. Being allowed to share in this family affair wedding was our pleasure and we wish them all a joyous life together.
