Southern Romantic vibes met Spanish Architecture for Shequella and Evan’s vibrant, summer, Southern Romantic wedding. Casa Feliz, a stunning venue in the heart of Winter Park, Florida, was decked out in hues of coral (which Pantone just chose as its Color of the Year for 2019!), peach, pink, blush, and ivory. Those summer nights… Greenery and gold accents completed the color palette and balanced out the lively colors. The same color scheme could be seen in Shequella and Evan’s day-of stationery, and personal florals. Shequella and Evan’s floral designs were captivating and included: garden roses, peonies, and ranunculus. Swoon!
Evan made a bold statement by donning a Kenneth Cole navy blue suit, accented with a coral-colored tie, and a ranunculus boutonniere. Both Evan and his groomsmen looked dapper- they also wore navy blue suits!
Shequella’s squad looked lovely in flowing coral-toned dresses that complemented their bouquets. Shequella was a vision in her lace gown by Eddy K. A long cathedral veil completed the look and added the extra touch of bridal glam as she walked down the aisle.
A Beautiful Start
The couple’s’ first look was absolutely adorable and was the perfect way to start the wedding festivities! Shequella and Evan walked hand-in-hand around Casa Feliz for some stunning couples’ portraits. You can see their effortless love shine through the photos!
Ahhh Mother Nature…
The weather had other plans for this couple’s ceremony. Originally set to be outside, the ceremony transitioned inside without missing a beat- almost as if it was always meant to be inside.
A guitarist played beautiful melodies as the couple’s guests arrived, setting a romantic atmosphere. A ceremony arch, draped in flowy linen and fresh garland, was set in front of a row of bay windows that allowed natural light to flood in and frame the couple as they stood at the altar. The room was full of happy tears as they watched Shequella and Evan exchange their vows and seal their love with a sand ceremony. Every detail came together perfectly and even the rain made for a romantic backdrop.
A Romantic Reception
The reception space looked incredible underneath a white tent with elegant liner. The guest tables were a mix of round tables and kings tables- creating a lovely setting for dinner, accented by french country chairs, ivory linen, gold sea sponge charger plates, colorful centerpieces with warm candlelight, and coral napkins to tie in the summer vibes. Shequella and Evan’s sweetheart table was dressed in a champagne, wedding bliss linen- accented with cascading greenery, gold candlesticks, and florals in shades of coral and pink. A beautiful, crystal chandelier was hung from the peak of the tent and adorned with floral, and soft uplight were placed around the reception space to set the mood. These details gave Casa Feliz’s courtyard space a vibrant and bold look while keeping to the theme of Southern Romantic.
The party came to life as “The Garvey’s” were introduced and took to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife. Shequella and Evan danced the night away with their family and friends to popular songs while a live, flaming donut station treated guests to a delicious treat. Yummy! Excitement was in the air as the evening came to an end, and guests sent Shequella and Evan off into wedded bliss with a glow-stick exit. The entire was day was full of endearment, fun, and of course.. Love!
No Rain On This Parade!
When everything flows together oh so perfectly, our wedding-loving hearts skip a beat and that’s exactly what happened as we soaked up all the seamless beauty of this beautiful soiree.
What should have been a lovely outdoor ceremony turned into an intimate and romantic indoor affair. Everything turned out so beautiful and truly reflected the essence of the couple’s dream wedding and the rain even added a bit of extra romance to the day- as if it was meant to be this way…. Nothing could dampen their Best Day Ever!
