Fall in New York means Bridal Fashion Week and a peek at 2017’s hottest trends in bridal fashion. Katherine Kralik is the owner of One & Only Bridal Boutique and she had some great information for us to share with our couples.
Here is what she had to say….
1) Tell our readers a little about you and your shop?
I opened One & Only with the intent celebrating each brides’ individual, and ‘one and only’ style. I have always had a great passion for fashion and the bridal industry; I knew I wanted to create an innovative and fresh boutique environment. I feel the essence of One & Only really focuses providing a high-end bridal experience, with modern yet classic fashions. Mainly I just really wanted to create a bridal environment that centers around affordable luxury, every bride deserves to have a once in a lifetime experience while searching for their dream gown.
2) What designers do you carry?
Brides can find a wide variety of designers at the boutique. Not only do I have different types of style for every bride, but also a great price point for our collection. Currently we carry: Stella York by Essense Designs, Ti Adora by Jim Helm Couture, Sophia Tolli by Mon Cheri, Venus Bridal, and our plus size line Venus Woman. Very excited to announce additions to the O&O collection coming this Spring 2017 Milano by Eddy K Collection, Ashley & Justin Bride, and Mikaella Bridal by Paloma Blanca!
3) What is the price point of the dresses in your shop?
Along with carrying a wide variety of looks, creating a boutique that could cater to brides with a wide range of budgets is huge priority. Our collection ranges from $900 to $3000. We really strive to provide a couture experience for every bride with any budget. Every girl deserves a memorable bridal shopping experience and I think the prices of the collection reflect that.
4) What are the upcoming trends for 2017 in bridal fashion?
This upcoming season is one of my most favorite to date as Spring 2017 bridal trends are beginning to vary: plunging necklines, sheer bodices, unique lace appliqués, shimmer/beaded materials, and modern ballgowns are all making a big impression on the upcoming collections. Bridal is making a big change for the first time in recent years and I am very excited to see what else is to come.
5) What advice would you give to a newly engaged bride?
Don’t lose sight of the reason why you are getting married. A wedding should be a fun and memorable experience and I think some brides get so caught up in the planning process they forget to enjoy it. In short; celebrate, have fun with your fashion and don’t sweat the small stuff!
If you’re looking for a bridal gown, stop by and say hi to Katherine.
