What do you get when a Florida Gator marries a Georgia Bulldog? An elegant downtown Orlando wedding on a bi-week! This football-loving couple tied the knot on a game-free weekend because, priorities. 😉

From the sidelines to the altar!

Kim and Ross said “I-Do” in a lovely ceremony at the Downtown Baptist Church on an equally beautiful autumn day. Kim walked down the aisle in a Calla Blanche gown from La Raine’s Bridal in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kim’s dress was show-stopping! And it was the talk-of-the-town as the ladies got ready at the Embassy Suites Downtown Orlando. As the bride and her bridesmaids got dolled up, Kim took a moment to gift her girls matching robes, before they changed into their navy bridesmaids dresses, each their own style, that made for an adorable photo-op!

Dad also got in on the action, as he whisked Kim away for a tender father-daughter moment in the Presidential Suite. It was there, that Kim presented her dad with a “keepsake” handkerchief inscribed with a heartfelt note for him.

With hair and makeup complete, Kim was fitted into her Calla Blanche gown. The ballgown silhouette suited her perfectly; the v-neckline, empire waist, back keyhole beaded detail, chapel-length train, and ivory tone further accented her bridal glow! Did we mention her dress had hidden pockets? Well, it did!

For her “something blue,” Kim donned a gorgeous pair of Badgley Mischka pumps. Keeping with tradition, Kim had two fabric swatches in the shape of a heart sewn into her dress. The swatches originated from the wedding dresses of her mother and grandmother; a sweet and sentimental take on the “something old” lore.

Kim wasn’t the only star of this show: Ross looked handsome in his black suit by Calvin Klein. Ross all but matched his groomsmen- a gray vest helped him stand out from the other gentleman.

As mentioned, the ceremony took place at the Downtown Baptist Church- but only after a tender first-look between Kim and Ross at Lake Eola. They were so excited to see each other and there was no hint of anxiety or hesitation!

After their glimpses of each other, they briefly parted ways, only to rejoin later at the altar which was framed by two, large floral centerpieces in gold vases. Leading up to the altar, were hand-tied floral arrangements placed on the ends of coordinated pews. A violin, a cello, and an organ filled the church with beautiful music as guests arrived and waited for Kim’s big entrance. Once it was made official by their officiant (a close family friend), the newly married couple took photos in the surrounding area with their bridal party before making their way to the Citrus Club for their reception.

Views from the 18th floor

The Citrus Club boasts scenic views of downtown Orlando, so it was the perfect spot for this urban soiree! The cocktail hour commenced right after the ceremony was finished and guests were encouraged to enjoy signature drinks (His: Old Fashion & Hers: Sangria), and a touching slideshow of pictures of Kim & Ross through the years. Personalized bar napkins and koozies were available for guests to sip their cocktails in style.

There was a memory table, dedicated to the couple’s late grandparents, as well as, a framed photo for the guests to sign as a guestbook.

The reception was kicked off by a stunning sunset, as seen from 18 stories above the ground! There’s nothing like the views at Citrus Club!

To watch the sunset, guests were seated at tables dressed in Khaki Shantung linen, rose gold charger plates, gold Chiavari chairs, and high-low centerpieces with geometric accents. Personalized chocolates were placed at each table setting- because love is sweet!

Peach-colored uplights transformed the reception with the perfect, romantic ambiance that tied in with the couple’s wedding colors: white, peach, navy, gold, and rose gold.

The cake table was breathtaking. Gold Shantung linen accented the four-tier cake, complete with fresh florals cascading from the top to the bottom.

Both the Dj’s booth and the photo booth were fashioned from green hedge walls that tied into the couple’s decor perfectly. The Dj kept everyone shimmying and swaying the whole evening after the ceremonial events were finished. Kim & Ross had their first dance to the tune of “This Is Why I Love You” by Major and looked so in love as they twirled around the dance floor. The entire evening was beautiful and filled with love for this amazing couple!

To Kim & Ross,

Even if you’re are rooting for opposing football teams, we’re rooting for you and your life together!
