Elyse and Trevor met eight years ago during an internship with Disney’s College Program. Mickey Mouse performed his role as “matchmaker” by making sure Elyse and Trevor’s paths crossed one day- the rest is history! They’ve been inseparable ever since.
A Saturday in June is when these two lovebirds said their vows and became ‘forever valentines.’ Speaking of which, happy belated Valentine’s Day! They chose the Luxmore Grande Estate for their ceremony & reception, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Elyse and Trevor’s wedding was elegant and celebrated the splendor of summer with hues of purple, white, and yellow.
“It has pockets!”
Elyse and Trevor both have a passion for the playbills, so we made sure to incorporate them throughout the festivities (stationery, reception items, etc). If the ‘playbills’ didn’t tell you about this couple’s personality- consider this: Elyse’s Kleinfeld gown, made by designer Paloma Blanca, had pockets! Surprise use for the said pockets: holding Elyse’s notes for when it was time to read her vows. How convenient is that?!
Trevor had pockets too, in his suit from Men’s Warehouse. Vows not included. We cannot confirm whether or not the Bridal party had pockets in their dresses, but they looked stunning nonetheless! Rounding out the bridal party was Elyse’s Matron of Honor, Trevor’s Best Woman, and two of the cutest flower girls, ever!
Act One
This couple’s wedding day was kicked off with hair and makeup at Elyse’s mom’s house. Sadly, Elyse’s father passed away a few months prior to the wedding so there were plenty of tissues kept handy, as the day was anticipated to be extremely heartfelt and emotional for the two women.
Once these lovebirds arrived at the Luxmore, their day continued with an exciting flow of events. They exchanged “love notes” and gifts- which lead up to their First Look. Elyse and Trevor were so giddy, they could hardly contain their excitement!
A ceremony that melted our heart!
After their First Look, Elyse and Trevor arrived for their date in the Grand Ballroom. A violinist played delightful melodies and delicate, white floral arrangements were tied to coordinating chairs, marking the ceremony aisle. Elyse and Trevor poured their hearts out in personalized vows, in front of picturesque, bay windows, that were framed with a gracefully draped arch finished with floral arrangements. If that wasn’t emotional enough, Elyse’s brother officiated the wedding and Elyse had her father’s jacket reserve a seat for him. Having the jacket placed in a chair, and tying a single balloon to the chair, was a subtle way of saying, “Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day.” Their ceremony had us all dabbing away tears. Truly, it was a beautiful ceremony that touched our hearts and souls.
“Give my regards to Broadway..”
Cocktail hour started the party-like energy, which remained all throughout the rest of the night! A mirror photo booth had guests saying, “let’s take a selfie!” With their pictures taken, they were then mesmerized by the couple’s seating chart: ticket stubs! It was such a cool and unique idea; Definitely one of our favorite elements from the day.
The reception came alive with an homage to Broadway! Each table was named after a Broadway play- complete with Playbills. Elyse and Trevor’s guests were treated to chapsticks and little tins of popcorn that said, “Thank you for Popping by,” as wedding favors.
The room was kept simple; With a venue like the Luxmore, you don’t need much! A selection of round tables was used for dinner, complete with ivory linens and mahogany Chiavari chairs. A mixture of high & low centerpieces finished the look!
Party like it’s 2018!
As the evening went on, the energy never waned. The intros were fun, the cake and mini cupcakes were yummy, and the couple’s first dance was dreamy. The ‘parent dances’ were endearing, as you can imagine! Elyse danced with her two brothers to a custom song, mixed by their father before his passing. It was a touching moment to celebrate both love and life.
Elyse and her sorority gals were on the dance floor all night long! They boogied and paid tribute to their letters with a unique dance. The DJ was on fire the whole night and kept everyone partying until it was time to wrap things up with a sparkler exit. As they say in ‘show biz’, “Bravo!”
To Elyse and Trevor,
Your wedding gave us all the feels! From beginning to end. We could barely hold back our laughter and tears during your vows!
