May 19th, 2018- you might remember this date as the day Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot. Well, Laura and Carlos had a fairytale wedding all their own- here in Orlando, Florida at the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort (say that 5x fast)! Laura and Carlos’s intimate wedding sported tones of white, champagne, and silver- fit for royalty. This couple’s wedding had an elegant & classic feel that still resembled Laura and Carlos’s style. Laura loved Japanese pop culture and hand drew the bride and groom Kawaii couple to resemble her and Carlos. They love Kawaii and incorporated touches of it into their invitation suite, favors, guestbook, beverage napkins, and the Groom’s cake.
The Beginnings of a Fairytale
Laura looked stunning in her mermaid-lace dress, and Carlos looked dapper in his custom-made tux. Swoon. Laura carried a beautiful cascading bouquet of Calla Lilies and Orchids. Both Laura and Carlos looked like they stepped out of a fairytale! Before they made their fairytale official, Laura and Carlos had a “first touch” to calm some of those pre-ceremony butterflies, while saving their First Look for the aisle. During their First Touch, they exchanged gifts and notes filled with sweet-nothings.
A Fairytale Ceremony
Even the best-laid plans need a plan B. Mother nature had other plans and decided to schedule a little rain for the ceremony. While the ceremony was designed to be outdoors, it was moved inside and appeared as if it was always meant to be that way. It was breathtaking! Flower petals were placed in a pattern to adorn the aisle and the ceremony arch was draped in white linen with a floral hedge of Spray Roses, Hydrangeas, Stock Whites, and Quicksand Roses. A chandelier was hung in the middle of the arch and was later moved to the entrance of the reception room- after the ceremony.
To keep the elegance going, two large floral arrangements contained in white urns were placed on two white pedestals on each side of the arch. These arrangements were later moved to decorate either side of Laura and Carlos’s sweetheart table. White orchid bouquets were tied on the white Chiavari chairs, facing in towards the aisle.
A violinist and a harpist provided the romantic ceremony music as Carlos was escorted by his mom, and later as Laura was escorted down the aisle by her mom. The couple wrote their own vows and they were lovely. Laura and Carlos also performed a unity ceremony that included both of their mothers. After the ceremony, the newlyweds strolled around in a horse and carriage; A true fairytale moment!
An Elegant Cocktail Hour
During cocktail hour, guests got to enjoy more instrumental music from the harpist and violinist while relaxing on some beautiful vintage furniture pieces. A fun, polaroid photo station was set up on a vintage dresser, as the couple’s guest book. Guests could also fill out a questionnaire about who knew the couple best. It was such a cute detail! Later, the vintage dresser was used to hold a smores station. Yum!
Belle of the Ball(Room)!
The reception ballroom was simply stunning! Soft, white uplights set the tone for the room. The guest tables were dressed in silver foil linens, champagne glitter chargers, favors (panda & pig macarons), white Chiavari chairs, tall cascading centerpieces, high/low candlesticks, and silver mercury votives. Pin spots were used to showcase the centerpieces even more. Laura and Carlos’ sweetheart table stood out in the crowd. It was dressed in a herringbone-patterned linen, flanked by two large floral arrangements from their ceremony. Floral arrangements decorated their chairs, adding more elegance to their reception look.
Pin spots were shone on the newlywed’s three-tier, round cake, complete with champagne-ombre detailing that tied in with the decor.
Dance, Dance!
The dances were so sweet and sentimental. A white, starlight dance floor was the perfect stage for the shimmies and sways. What made us all have to grab a tissue, was Laura’s dance with her mom and three brothers.
Between the toasts, cake cutting (there were two cakes!), dinner, smores, late-night snacks, bubbles, dancing- the list goes on, no detail was anything but spectacular!
We are still swooning over the inspiring details of Laura + Carlos fairytale wedding! Despite the weather, it was a beautiful wedding from start to finish. It was such a joy to finally see this lovely couple’s vision come to life. Their special day was a memorable celebration for those in attendance, that filled their lives with love, support, and happiness.
To Laura and Carlos,
Congratulations!! You two are simply perfect for each other and it’s obvious to everyone that was in attendance. Welcome to married life! It was our pleasure to have witnessed such a magical day!
