They say, “When the timing is right,” everything will fall into place. For Jessica and Brandon, that’s exactly what happened! Both Jessica and Brandon grew up in the same small town, shared mutual friends, and even lived on the same street at one point- but their paths never crossed. Not until the timing was right, and since then, they’ve been inseparable. They’ve had great days and some not so great days but, through it all, they found a love for each other that adds to the greatest adventure of all- life!

Back in February, the sun shone brightly upon the Howey Mansion where Jessica and Brandon exchanged vows. We were so excited to work with Jessica and Brandon as they were our first wedding at the Howey Mansion! This historical venue is filled with old-school charm and it’s absolutely gorgeous. When this couple found the Howey Mansion, they were blown away by the restoration efforts, beautiful grounds, antique decor, and grand details such as the main staircase. They also fell in love with the mansion’s hidden gems- the concealed staircase leading to the wine cellar being one of them!

Suits and Finery

Jessica and her bridesmaids got ready in the amazing bridal suite located on the property. The suite is furnished with victorian furniture which is perfect for getting-ready photos!

Jessica looked stunning in her strapless, satin trumpet gown featuring beaded-lace details. She wore a medium-length tulle veil, earrings, and a bracelet that perfectly accented her gown. Jessica’s bridesmaids looked equally stunning in their maxi-length dresses in a dusty rose hue from Lulus.

Brandon looked smashing in a slate gray suit, paired with a white button-up, and a black bow-tie from Men’s Warehouse. Brandon’s groomsmen all looked handsome in their matching, slate gray suits, also paired with white button-up shirts and ties that matched the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. Brandon and his groomsmen had an absolute blast getting ready and stepping out to take pictures in Howey Mansion’s private cellar.

Out On The Terrace

With everyone primped and preened, Jessica and Brandon stole a moment to exchange gifts and letters, rather than having a “First Look.” After the gifts and letters were swapped, the couple parted as guests began to find their seats for the ceremony out on the mansion’s terrace.

The terrace was decorated in the couple’s wedding colors: blush, dusty rose, and ivory. Mahogany Chiavari chairs awaited the couple’s guests, and sprays of floral were tied to the aisle chairs. Two large floral arrangements were set atop pedestal columns, and a sign saying, “Pick A Seat, Not A Side” was positioned at the entrance to the ceremony space. Friends and family were a big part of Jessica and Brandon’s wedding- the couple’s children were a part of the bridal party and were also the flower girl & ring bearer.

Jessica was escorted down the aisle by her stepfather and Brandon was overcome with emotion upon seeing her. His eyes filled with heartfelt tears and subsequently, so were the eyes of everyone else in attendance!

After being pronounced husband & wife, Jessica and Brandon jaunted off to take photos while guests were invited to enjoy cocktail hour set amongst the Howey Mansion’s brilliant architecture. A harpist continued to play beautiful melodies while guests were encouraged to sign the couple’s guestbook, and sip on yummy cocktails.

Ballroom Blitz

As the cocktail hour wined down, the shindig moved inside to the mansion’s main ballroom. The guests’ tables were dressed in dusty rose-colored linens with rose gold overlays. Each place setting was comprised of dusty rose-colored napkins and champagne glitter charger plates. At the center of the tables, were tall glass cylinder floral centerpieces and tiered glass candle holders.

As the couple and their guests enjoyed dinner, the night seemed to just fly by! The toasts, cake cutting, and dances flew by in a blur of fun & laughter!

Everyone was having such a blast out on the dance floor, that we staged a faux sparkler exit just so everyone could head back inside and bust out some more moves on the dance floor until the very end of the evening. When it finally came time for our couple to bid their guests’ goodnight, Jessica & Brandon had personalized bottles of wine waiting for their guests to take home with them, with the inscription, “May your love be like good wine, grow stronger as it grows older.” A perfect toast to an evening well spent.

Jessica and Brandon’s elegant, intimate wedding was what dreams are made of! We started the day with happy tears and ended the night with happy hearts. It was a pleasure to work with such a lovely couple, and spend the happiest of days with them! Congratulations to Jessica & Brandon, we’re so glad the timing was right for you two lovebirds. We wish you a lifetime of perfect moments, thrilling adventures, and genuine happiness.
