These two lovebirds began their forever on January 20th, 2018 with a Southern Romantic ceremony and reception hosted at the gorgeous Cypress Grove Estate House. Stunning hues of pinks, blush, navy and gold accents set the tone for this winter wedding. Every detail came together creating a romantic and inviting evening- perfect for Melissa & Matt’s wedding. Their dream wedding was brought to life and it was as beautiful as they had imagined it to be.

What’s a wedding without floral?

Melissa’s bouquet consisted of: Peonies (her favorite!), Ranunculus, Magnolias, Garden Roses, and textured Greenery. Her bouquet was kept loose, and brought together shades of pink and big blooms- creating a very romantic look!

Melissa & Matt’s wedding included several personal touches. Melissa’s “something blue” was a fabric square from a shirt belonging to her Dad and it was sewn into her Maggie Sottero gown, in the shape of a heart. Melissa looked radiant! Melissa also included a picture of her father and her on her bouquet. Melissa’s engagement ring was comprised of 3 stones from her mothers ring, the center stone and the two princess cut diamonds.  Her mother’s ring band and wedding ring was made into matching necklaces that both Melissa and her sister Stephanie wore-we loved this personal touch so much!

Melissa and Matt’s ceremony was emotional and filled with sweet moments.

A Violinist played subtle tunes as guests arrived, setting the tone for the beautiful story that was about to unfold when the lovely couple said “I Do” Melissa’s parents were looking down on her that day, but she was sure to save them a seat in the front row marked with their favorite flowers in-memoriam. There was not a dry eye in sight, us included! This sweet couple wanted to create a romantic feel while honoring the brides southern roots. Melissa was escorted down the aisle by her two brothers, surrounded by love.  The Gazebo was draped beautifully in sheer fabric and adorned with floral arrangements in hues of pinks.  In the center of the gazebo hung a crystal chandelier, tying together the romantic ambience. The ceremony was perfectly officiated by Pastor Pete who is Matt’s firehouse chaplin.

After sunset portraits, it was time for this couple to party!

During cocktail hour, guests were entertained by live music, a personalized game of corn hole, and a giant Jenga set. The reception space was simply breathtaking! A clear tent illuminated by stunning chandeliers, beautiful hues of pink, blush and navy infused into the floral along with a mix of round and king’s tables adorned with navy linen, garland, mercury gold accents, and french country chairs tying together the most perfect southern romantic look. Melissa and Matt’s sweetheart and cake tables were made to stand out, both dressed in champagne wedding bliss linen and simple southern charm details. Market lighting softened the evening by creating a warm hue in the amphitheater while guests dined under a clear tent with views of the Florida night sky.  Since Matt is a fireman, we included touches that paid homage to his firefighter friends: a cake topper with a firefighter crest, Drunken Cupcakes with Fireball whiskey and Mudslide Cupcakes were just a few of the touches we added. .

The Bay Kings Band kept guests on the dance floor all night long with sets of energized music, but when guests needed to rest their “boogie shoes,” they could satisfy their “sweet tooth” with a s’mores station and write the couple a cute note in the guest book. Guests got to take a little sweetness with them courtesy of mason jar favors, crafted by Andrea’s mother! Yum! As the night came to an end, guests sent the newlyweds off in to wedded bliss with an epic sparkler send-off!

We love weddings that are all about family and friends infused with a few simple and sentimental details. Planning and designing this wedding from start to finish for this lovely couple was exciting and being able to incorporate some of the things that meant so much to them was truly special.

Melissa and Matt had the most perfect day and we wish them a lifetime of love, joy and happiness! #PeacockSquad
