Veronica and Jared stood before their family friends, on April 14th, 2018, under a sky of perfect weather, and said “I Do!” The couple’s wedding was hosted at the Alfond Inn in sunny Winter Park, Florida. The look and feel was a perfect match for their venue, simple modern elegance. Their beautiful ceremony took place on the courtyard lawn with a magnificent Chuppah accented with gorgeous floral arrangements in hues of mauve, white, shades of purple and greenery. In keeping with the modern feel there were also assorted gold terrariums placed down the aisle, that we transitioned into their reception decor. These were then reused for their reception decor.
Prior to the “I Dos,” Veronica had a tender first look with her father in her suite and there was not a dry eye in sight! Veronica and Jared decided to also do a first look with each other, and Jared was in complete awe of Veronica in her Pronovias gown from Calvet Couture.
Details, details, details!
With her Pronovias gown, Veronica donned a pair of Jimmy Choos while her Bridesmaids wore smokey purple dresses, playing into the color scheme of mauve, lavender, lilac, whites, silver, and gold accents. Jared wore a light grey suit and his Groomsmen wore dark grey suits for complementary contrast. Veronica kept her parents close to her by wearing a blue, heart-shaped ring that she was given on her 16th birthday; her parents gifted her this Turquoise ring in homage to her birthstone which represents December birthdays. On her personal bouquet, Veronica wrapped a green bracelet, that held her mother’s birthstone.
Mazel tov!
This sweet couple had their ceremony under a Chuppah, a canopy that is used to represent ‘home’. Although a traditional Jewish ceremony is not what the couple had in mind. Not married by a Rabbi but a close friend of the couple they wanted to incorporate bits of the religious rituals. Before Jared was escorted by both of his parents, the Ketubah signing took place in the conservatory courtyard. Veronica, being the independent woman she chooses to start the walk down the aisle with her father but finished her walk alone. Per Jewish tradition, Veronica had readers to recite the Seven Blessings. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a glass was used for their mazel tov and guests sent the couple off into wedded bliss by showering them with rose petals!
Cocktail hour
In the conservatory, cocktail hour was in full swing! Guests were entertained with some smooth jazz tunes by a Trio of members of the Bay Kings Band. Veronica and Jared had a bit of fun with their escorts cards, making them in the shape of dominos and the number on the domino indicated which table they were seated at. The dominos are actually a family trademark, how cute!
Reception time!
The Park Avenue Ballroom was draped in silver and beautifully transformed. Each table had a mix of tall and short floral centerpieces and place cards were set at each setting. The cake was a mix of a mauve ombré pattern and semi-naked cake just a perfect mix of classic and modern. Veronica and Jared opted for dual parent dances and swayed to “I Hope You Dance.” In honor of their Jewish tradition, they included a Hora dance to the tune of Hava Nagila played by Bay Kings Band. It was so fun! Both Veronica and Jared graduated from Yale, so to recognize their alma mater- they took a group picture with all their classmates and continued to take adorable pictures throughout the night in their photobooth. As the night wined down, guests were treated to cigars, music by the Bay Kings Band, and an after-party at the Park Social. Sargeant Studios Photography Co. captured every detail of the couples’ big day while Jeffrey Stoner video created a reel of special moments for the newlyweds to enjoy for years to come.
Congratulations again to Veronica & Jared on their stunning Alfond Inn wedding. We loved being a part of your special day, and we wish you many years of happiness! #PeacockSquad
