2-4 Month Planning Checklist
Send out Wedding Invitations: Eight weeks before the big day is the perfect time to send out your wedding invitations. Be sure to include hotel recommendations for out of town guests, directions to the ceremony and or reception and Rehearsal Dinner Information (for those who are to attend) This will give guest enough time to confirm travel arrangements and get the RSVP back to you on time.
Set Up Food Tasting with Venue: Six to eight weeks out from your event date you will want to set up your food tasting to finalize any menu decisions before the big day. It is in your best interest to have your planner attend, if you have one, as this is the time to iron out a lot of the venue details such as set up, timing, placement of items and any special requests such as room requests or early check ins.
Arrange for your Final Dress Fitting: Be sure to bring your wedding shoes and veil to be sure everything works together. Also make sure you have your mother, maid of honor or wedding planner there to see how the dress is bustled to avoid any complications on the wedding day.
Send Thank You Notes: Be sure to send Thank You notes as your start receiving wedding gifts so you are not overwhelmed leading up to the wedding or after you come back from your honeymoon.
Confirm Honeymoon Arrangements: If you are traveling overseas be sure you have a current passport. Also keep I mind your name will not officially be changed yet so be sure your travel arrangements are made in your maiden name if you plan on leaving right after the wedding.
I hope these tips helped, and happy planning!
